چکیده

Background First-pass contrast-enhanced myocardial perfusion CMR is a useful non-invasive technique for evaluating coronary artery disease. 3D perfusion imaging provides images at the same cardiac phase which may be advantageous for quantifying ischemic burden, but current techniques have limited spatiotemporal resolution. We previously presented a 3D stack-of-spiral (SoS) perfusion method, however this technique had a long temporal footprint (240 ms) and thick slices (8 mm). As the heart occupies

Free-breathing liver perfusion imaging using 3-dimensional through-time spiral generalized autocalibrating partially parallel acquisition acceleration.

OBJECTIVES The goal of this study was to develop free-breathing high-spatiotemporal resolution dynamic contrast-enhanced liver magnetic resonance imaging using non-Cartesian parallel imaging acceleration, and quantitative liver perfusion mapping. MATERIALS AND METHODS This study was approved by the local institutional review board and written informed consent was obtained from all participant...

Whole-brain background-suppressed pCASL MRI with 1D-accelerated 3D RARE Stack-Of-Spirals readout

Arterial Spin Labeled (ASL) perfusion MRI enables non-invasive, quantitative measurements of tissue perfusion, and has a broad range of applications including brain functional imaging. However, ASL suffers from low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), limiting image resolution. Acquisitions using 3D readouts are optimal for background-suppression of static signals, but can be SAR intensive and typicall...

Three-dimensional first-pass myocardial perfusion MRI using a stack-of-spirals acquisition.

Three-dimensional cardiac magnetic resonance perfusion imaging is promising for the precise sizing of defects and for providing high perfusion contrast, but remains an experimental approach primarily due to the need for large-dimensional encoding, which, for traditional 3DFT imaging, requires either impractical acceleration factors or sacrifices in spatial resolution. We demonstrated the feasib...

K-space and Image Space Combination for Motion-induced Phase Error Correction in 3D Diffusion-Weighted Imaging

INTRODUCTION In diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), high-resolution isotropic voxels are highly desirable to resolve small white matter structures. Isotropic voxels require high spatial resolution including the slice direction and can only be achieved with reasonable SNR with 3D diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI). A major problem with 3D DWI is motion-induced phase errors (MiP). Recently, 3D self-nav...

High-Resolution Imaging of Myocardial Perfusion

INTRODUCTION Dynamic imaging of myocardial perfusion imaging after injection of a contrast agent is a major tool for noninvasive assessment of the physiological conditions of heart tissues. To make myocardial perfusion imaging more practically useful, the dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) images need to have high spatiotemporal resolution, which cannot be achieved by the conventional imaging meth...
